Special
Orders:
My promise
to you for all special orders is that I will work very
hard to ensure that I understand what you want prior to
your order and payment.
If upon receipt it is not exactly what you
desired, please contact me within seven days of receipt
and I will work diligently to craft the item to your
specifications.
For items
requiring reworking to meet your specifications, I will
pay for two return shipments to me, return shipments to
you and all labor will be free of charge.
The only additional cost you will incur is for
additional materials.
Special
Orders may be returned for either a store credit or
refund minus a 25% restocking fee.
I have
grouped my special orders into three different
categories:
-Sterling
Silver, Argentium Sterling
Silver, Gold Fill, Swarovski
crystals
-Copper
-Gold
1.
Sterling Silver, Argentium Sterling Silver, Gold Fill,
Swarovski crystals:
I
can mix and match/exchange the metals in most all of my
chainmaille creations.
For example, you want an all Yellow Gold Fill
Bold Graduated Byzantine Necklace, I can accommodate
that request.
Special
note regarding Argentium:
I
do not have access to components, clasps or wire in
Argentium Silver, so if you have an issue wearing
regular Sterling silver you may want to request a mixed
metal piece with Gold fill or 14k gold components,
clasps, wire.

Copper:

I
can exchange copper for any of the metals in most all of
my chainmaille creations.
There is a very good reason that I am dropping
Copper from my regular line of jewelry—it can be a
maintenance nightmare.
Copper tarnishes rapidly, and not always
uniformly. I
have had issues in the past keeping a copper item from
tarnishing as it wass drying from a cleaning.
It is frustrating.
If
you desire an item in Copper, I will keep my
satisfaction guarantee promise for all repairs and
cleaning. Just
note that if you require highly polished copper, you may
find yourself spending much more in shipping it back to
me for cleaning than you would by purchasing the same
item in Rose Gold Fill.
Rose Gold Fill does not tarnish.
Note:
My recommendation is to purchase items in Rose Gold Fill
if you desire an item in a coppery color.

Gold:
I
can substitute solid 18K Gold for Silver or Gold Fill in
my chainmaille items. I offer 18K White Gold, 18K
Yellow Gold, and 18K Rose Gold.

Note:
18K Gold is extremely expensive. The above 20”
Byzantine Roses necklace that would be valued at $225
made of Sterling Sliver and Yellow Gold fill was valued
at $4300 made of 18K White and 18K Yellow Gold had it
been ordered on 15 January 2008.
If
that amount does not have you doing a
double/triple/quadruple take, please read on for the
order process.
Due
to the prohibitive cost of stocking 18K Gold in a
reasonable variety of sizes and shades, I do not keep it
in stock. My cost is directly tied to the current
market price of gold; therefore I cannot reasonably
offer an array of prices without first checking the cost
from my supplier. I offered the example above
based strictly on the cost of 18K Gold on
15 January, 2008
. Do not assume that will be your cost; please contact
me for a quote.
The
ordering process for 18KGold through my supplier is
longer than for other materials, so please allow up to 4
weeks for delivery. I'll contact you when the item
has been shipped.
